Caquetoire Guest Chair No.1
Limited Edition of 12
Ladies who gossip. The caquetoire chair served as a conversation chair in 16th-17th century France. Typically grouped for women to sit together and chat or gossip, the caquetoire served as a seemingly essential piece of furniture in the 1700s.
The Caquetoire Dining Chair is made from a complex wood, gypsum, pulp and resin mix. A strong fiberglass mixture is then hand applied over the entire piece that adds strength to the chair. The piece is then painted and sealed.
Each piece is hand made to order and available in custom colours (please enquire).
