Sanpietrini

Inspired by the traditional paving of Rome and its unmistakable sanpietrini cobblestones, Sanpietrini translates the urban ground into a refined architectural cabinet. The surface is composed of a dense, modular grid that recalls the irregular rhythm of historic streets, transforming the iconic basalt cobblestone into a textured, sculptural façade.

The exterior reads as compact and monolithic, while the interior is revealed through a series of openings, each different in size and proportion. These varied apertures introduce an element of discovery and functionality, breaking the rigidity of the geometry and revealing an unexpected inner space. From within, a warm, golden light emerges — an almost explosive glow that contrasts with the severity of the exterior and animates the object from the inside out.

Sanpietrini is a cabinet rooted in the language of the city, where paving becomes structure and urban infrastructure is transformed into furniture — monumental in presence yet intimate in use.
