Pyrite Table

Inspired by pyr, the Greek word for fire, and by the pyrite mineral once used to create sparks, the Pyrite Table translates the crystalline logic of “fool’s gold” into a modular piece of furniture. Its cuboid formations and shifting brilliance are reinterpreted as abstract mineral volumes.

The table is composed of four independent elements, each with different heights and dimensions. These volumes can be used together as a low table or separated as individual side tables, allowing the composition to adapt to different spaces and uses. Their deliberately irregular junctions evoke the natural growth and fracture of a crystal rather than a fixed geometric order.

Materiality reinforces the ambiguity between object and mineral. The wooden structure is coated with a specially developed metal‑based paint that reproduces the colour and depth of natural pyrite. The surface captures light unevenly, shifting between matte and metallic reflections.

Both functional and sculptural, the Pyrite Table can exist as a single object, a constellation of surfaces, or an abstract landscape within an interior. More than a static piece of furniture, it behaves as a spatial event — an evolving crystallisation that invites interaction and reconfiguration, continuing the narrative of the Pyrite collection.
