Orogenèse n° 1

Orogenèse comes from the ancient Greek óros “hill, mountain” associated with “genesis” and defines all the geodynamic processes by which mountain ranges are formed.

Behind this scientific term lies the intention of greater control of the patterns inside the glass itself thanks to the constraint of a mold associated with specific processes. Thus, just like mountains that rise thanks to tectonic forces, glass deforms and fuses in a closed environment and then gains thickness.

The optical effects thus created by the accumulation of layers of glass are particularly intense and give an idea of ​​the forces necessary for their creation.
