Wilén-Jong
Wilén-Jong is the artistic practice of Stockholm-based duo Ash Wilén-Jong (b. 1985, Hong Kong) and Johan Wilén-Jong (b. 1983, Sweden). As founders of Studio TOOJ, they work at the intersection of functional art, collectible design, and spatial storytelling, creating works that explore perception, materiality, and the emotional relationships between people, objects, and space.
Combining traditional craftsmanship with material experimentation, Wilén-Jong’s practice spans furniture, sculpture, and installation. Their work often challenges assumptions about form and material, transforming unconventional processes and materials into objects that are both functional and poetic. Through illusion, narrative, and tactile engagement, they invite viewers to reconsider what they see and how they experience the built environment.
Since their international debut at Milan Design Week in 2024, their work has been exhibited internationally at Alcova Milan, Collectible Brussels, Melbourne Design Week, and Design Miami and more. Their projects have been featured in leading publications including Architectural Digest, ELLE Decoration, Wallpaper, Dezeen, Hypebeast. In 2026, the duo was named Designer of the Year by ELLE Decoration Sweden.
Their work is held in private collections internationally and has been presented through collaborations with galleries, institutions, and cultural platforms across Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific.
