Bismut & Bismut

Daniel and Michel Bismut are architects and designers. In March 2022, Les Echos newspaper named the Daniel & Michel Bismut studio as one of the 15 ambassadors of French style abroad. They design exclusive residential and commercial projects in France and internationally. Playing with scale, they work from the conception and design of a building through to the detailing of a piece of furniture, aiming to simplify the design vocabulary and retain only what is essential.

Awarded the French Design 100 prize in 2024, Daniel and Michel Bismut have designed an exclusive line of furniture that highlights traditional craftsmanship and natural, sensual materials. The collection includes limited-edition pieces exhibited internationally and acquired worldwide. Their table Trays is part of the collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. The Drum and Wizz coffee tables are part of the furnishings of the French President’s Palais de l’Élysée and have joined the Mobilier National collection. Their Kinetics table was displayed in the French Pavilion at the Dubai 2020 World Expo.

Recent projects include private residences, institutional offices, hotels, the VIP floor of the new Cartier flagship in Geneva, as well as projects in Miami, Dubai, Jeddah, Geneva, Lisbon and Comporta. They have also collaborated with the Sanlorenzo shipyard on a yacht selected for the Compasso d’Oro award. Their work has been published in leading interior design magazines including Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Harper’s Bazaar and Ideat.
