Redefining Luxury Design

Mark de la Vega, the creative genius, and Maggie de la Vega are the founders of behind De La Vega Designs. They stand at the forefront of luxury furniture design. With a lifelong passion for creativity sparked by his father's abstract art, Mark's journey into the world of design was destined from an early age. He possessed an innate talent for rearranging furniture and sketching, foreshadowing his extraordinary career.

Educated in industrial design at the Art Institute of Colorado, Mark ventured to New York to embark on a career in furniture design. In 2008, he joined Studio Sofield, where he crafted custom pieces for elite clients under the guidance of exceptional mentors.

In 2010, Mark established De La Vega Designs in a historic Brooklyn dock building, transforming a 7,000-square-foot loft into his creative haven. His bespoke creations quickly gained the attention of luxury retail giants, including Harry Winston, Bergdorf Goodman, and Tiffany & Co. Notably, interior designer David Collins commissioned Mark for Madonna's residence, a pivotal moment in his career.

In 2012, De La Vega Designs unveiled its first furniture collection, DLV, at ICFF, signaling a new era of design excellence. Within the studio, a team of skilled artisans meticulously crafts each piece, using noble materials like solid bronze and sawn wenge wood to create substantial, awe-inspiring works of art.

Mark's signature lies in the intricate artisanal techniques he employs, whether it's the delicate cracked eggshell finish of the Abuelo bureau or the sinuous, hand-sculpted cast aluminium frame of the Giac chair. Each design involves up to 11 specialized artisans, each a master at their craft.

Looking forward, De La Vega Designs plans to reimagine the solid cast acrylic Drum table and expand the Giac series with a new case goods addition. The studio's growth has transformed it into a thriving furniture workshop, where quality remains paramount even as the brand's influence continues to expand. Mark de la Vega's commitment to innovation and artistic exploration propels De La Vega Designs to new heights, making him a true visionary in the world of luxury furniture.
